New Wheels

We've been preparing at work for a garage sale we're having tomorrow.  All of the money we make will go to the American Cancer Society.  We've had a few large items donated.  However, most of those items have been bought by the staff already!  I bought a tv and a few things for my niece, Zoey.  I was really excited to discover that someone had donated a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe car.  Mia's friend, Harper, has one, and Mia loves it.  I wasn't going to buy her a new one because we don't really have much paved space for her to play with it.  On the other hand, if I can get a used one for ten bucks, why not?  She had fun playing in it on the sidewalk but didn't want to get out when we were ready to go to dinner.  We were going to go to our favorite Salvadoran restaurant.  I asked Mia, "Do you want to go get some rice and beans?" She said, "No, Momma."  I then asked, "Do you want some pupusas?"  Her eyes brightened.  "Pupusas? Yeah! Let's go!"  It's so funny the things she likes to eat that I never ate for the first time until I was an adult.  She likes Salvadoran food, of course, as well as Greek food.  That doesn't mean that she has an extremely refined palette.  She's just as happy chowing down on a hamburger.  I try to give her healthy choices, but sometimes we're more in the mood for pizza than grilled chicken.  One of her new favorite snacks is dipping pretzels in hummus.  I didn't even know what hummus was until I was in my twenties.  It's one of my favorite snacks now, too!
