Get Movin'

In the last couple of weeks, Quinn has gotten really good with his army crawl.  He pushes with his feet and pulls with his arms.  He looks like an inchworm, but he can move pretty fast.  I took some video of him crawling tonight.  He's blowing raspberries as he crawls.  :)

Growing Boy

I need to do a catch up on Quinn's weekly pictures.  I missed two weeks on taking his picture, but I'm sure he won't hold that against his dear, old mom.  He looks different now than he did even two months ago.  He's been sitting unassisted for quite awhile now.  He loves to play in the floor with his toys and especially Mia.  Hearing them laugh together is the sweetest sound.  Mia didn't like that Quinn took a nap today.  She told me that she was sad that she didn't have anybody to play with.  She was happy to play with me in the meantime, but she was really glad when Quinn woke up.

I missed getting pictures for weeks 34 and 35.  Sorry little buddy.

Getting So Big!

Yes, we're still here.  Life has been so hectic for the last two months.  I like to plan ahead, but lately I'm just happy to have a game plan ready for the next day.  Quinn has been doing so many new things.  He now has four teeth.  The two front bottom teeth came in almost at the same time when he was seven months old.  Just in the last week, he's gotten two more coming in on top.  I can see two more teeth on top that are going to break through very soon.  It's been a little rough on him cutting those four teeth on top at once.  He's my happy boy, though, so he soldiers through it.  I've been trying to get a picture of his teeth ever since the first one came in.  Quinn is tolerant of most things, but he can't stand for anyone to mess with his mouth or nose.  Whether it's wiping his nose or looking at his teeth, he isn't compliant.

Those new teeth are coming in handy with all of the foods he eats now.  I've made him a lot of different purees.  He's had avocado, apples, peaches, pears, plums, bananas, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, yellow squash, zucchini, carrots, parsnips, and peas.  He wasn't too wild about the parsnips or peas, but he still eats them.  I usually mix the peas with something else he likes such as squash or carrots.  The next new foods I plan on making him are mangoes and green beans.  He's started eating a few finger foods recently.  We've given him soft, small pieces of sweet potato, bananas, yellow squash, and blueberries.  He loves baby yogurt too as well as Cheerios and several of the Gerber baby snacks.

He's not too sure about them...

but he eats them anyway.

Here's a random picture of Mia walking around in her daddy's shoes.  It didn't matter how many times she fell down, she kept wearing them.
