Fun Down South

We met Jon, Holly, Jasper, and Harper in Ennis today for the town's 60th Bluebonnet Festival.  Ennis is designated as the official Bluebonnet City of Texas.  They hold the festival downtown which has a lot of old buildings.  I'd like to go back down there just to take pictures of the buildings.  There was a section that was specifically for children.  Mia went into the bounce house with Harper, but she had no idea what it was because she'd never been in one.  She never really jumped, but she did smile and bounce a little.  Next, the girls went on the train.  Mia was a little nervous about getting on it, but she was okay with it when she realized that Harper was riding it, too.  Mia also went to the petting zoo.  She didn't mind all of the animals walking around her.  She seemed surprised, though, when I encouraged her to pet them.  I think she enjoyed it quite a bit.  We all got some ice cream, and then headed to the booth that had maps for the bluebonnet trail.  I'll include those pics on the next post.

This little black pig was my favorite!  Isn't he adorable?
