Cutest Christmas Tree Ever

As Mia approaches her second birthday, I've been thinking of how much she's changed since this time last year.  She was barely walking at her first birthday.  Now, she tears around the house like a wild child.  Her vocabulary is outrageous.  She's putting sentences together well, and she's even learning a few abc's and numbers.  Until this last month, she hasn't been too interested in tv.  Now, she wants to watch Hello Kitty and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse every five minutes.  She likes to dance, so Mickey's Hot Dog Dance is a particular favorite of her's.  She's becoming such a big girl.  For example, right now she's hollering at the Dallas Stars game with her daddy.

We had our first crib escape the other night.  Wesley and I were awakened at 2:30 in the morning to Mia's hysterical crying on the baby monitor.  She almost never wakes up at night, so that combined with her panic got us out of bed quickly.  Before we could get to her room, we heard a thump.  We quickly opened her door to find her on all fours on the floor.  She wasn't hurt, but I think it really surprised her that she fell out.  We think she had a bad dream because there was nothing wrong with her.  She refused to sleep in her room, so she slept in our bed for the rest of the night.  She hasn't tried to climb out again, but we've been putting cushions on the floor in front of her crib just in case.

She was helping me take the garland off of the tree.  This is how she helped.
