Our Very First Niece

Little Zoey Kay has arrived! Rachel delivered her via C-section on Friday morning. Poor Rach had endured several hours of pitocin only to discover that Zoey was breached. She was 8 lb. 15 oz. and 20 inches long. She has a cute little beauty mark on her right cheek. It's adorable. We all had fun changing her clothes. She wore a minimum of ten outfits per day while they were in the hospital (at least)! Mia loves babies, and Zoey was no exception. She wanted to point everything out on her: nose, ears, etc. As for me holding Zoey, well she didn't like it much. I'm not sure where the jealousy comes from. Thankfully, Mom distracted Mia so that I could get in some cuddle time with my niece. She's just the cutest little thing. Tons of people came to the hospital to see Zoey. Rach will hopefully get more rest now that she is at Mom's. She's staying with Mom for several days while she recovers from the surgery. I'm sure that Mimi (Mom) just loves having them there!
