I am surprised sometimes when Mia mimics things we do. I forget that she is so observant. She will watch us do something a hundred times without showing any interest. Then, out of the blue she will try to do it. The other evening she was following Xander around the house trying to put his leash on just like she sees us do. I guess she figures if he goes outside she'll get to go, too!
Mia loves to color with crayons, markers, etc. I bought her some sidewalk chalk thinking that she would have a blast because she could just go to town on the sidewalk without me worrying about a mess. However, after a few scribbles, she was kind of bored with it. That's okay. I'll just hang on to them for now. I can whip those out at a later date.
The weather wasn't quite so stifling yesterday evening, so Wesley and I took Mia to Lake Cliff Park which is another park here in Oak Cliff. It is much larger than Kidd Springs and more level. I never let Mia take a ball to play with at Kidd Springs because I'm just sure it would end up in the duck pond. At Lake Cliff Park, she can roam around much more. Lake Cliff also just opened up new playground equipment in the last six months or so. They have different equipment for different age groups which is so nice. Mia played on the equipment for 2-5 yr olds. Once again, the slide was the bomb!
