Toy Sandwich

It's funny the random things that keep kids preoccupied.  Mia busied herself with taking toys out of her basket one by one and piling them on a floor cushion on the other side of her room.  When she was finished, she knocked another cushion on top of it, creating a "toy sandwich".  She then returned all of her toys, again one by one, to her basket.

One of Mia's new fun things to do is act like an airplane.  She runs across the room with her arms flailed out behind her.  I guess she does a lot of her "tricks" at daycare.  Her teachers said the other day that one kid was attempting the "senior photo" pose and another kid now mimics Mia's version of what a monkey sounds like.  I guess she's a toddler trendsetter.

Her hair is getting long again.  I am trying so hard not to have them just cut bangs.  I really want Mia's hair to grow out, but it is so unruly!  It refuses to part and just sits on her head in a wild mess most of the time.  This is because she refuses to keep any kind of bow or barrette in her hair.  However, I bought her some tiny, clear ponytail holders that seem to stay put.  They are too small for her to get a hold of I guess.  In any case, I was super excited that the ponytail was still intact when I picked her up from daycare today.
One happy girl!

Harper ran the exact same way -- and still does! We never thought of it as an airplane though. Just her weird way of running. I love the visual!!
