Farmer's Market

We made our first trip to the Dallas Farmer's Market today.  Darvey and Kenda came down to visit, so we all headed down there to check it out.  There were vendors all along the way that were handing out samples.  You could probably make a meal out of free samples there.  Mia asked if she could have just about every kind of fruit that she saw.  We ended up with peaches and strawberries.  I was given a sample of a peach as we walked by the stand.  As soon as I ate it, I turned around and went back to buy some.  Delicious!  The strawberries were good, too.  One downer was that within a couple of days, the strawberries started to go bad.  I guess I should have expected that.  Next time I'll only buy what I know we can eat within a couple of days.  I also got some basil parmesan dipping oil for bread.  So good!  After that, we went over to Fair Park hoping to ride their paddle boats, but there wasn't anyone manning them.  We were bummed, but we got to walk around some and watch the fish and turtles in the lagoon.  I love that there is always something new to explore in Dallas.
