School Days

Mia wears a uniform to school, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they frequently do special days where the kids get to wear other clothes.  That's a nice change once in awhile.  The school has fun with it, and there's always a theme associated with those days.  Mia especially loved the day that she got to wear pajamas to school.  She thought that was the bomb.

She is liking her new school, but there has been some adjusting.  As we expected this school is stricter than her daycare.  She is learning a lot, and she's getting better at things like raising her hand, etc.  There have been some challenges, but she's doing great.  One of the reasons I wanted to get her into this preschool was so that she could learn the rules and processes of being in public school to prepare her for kindergarten.  I just want her to have fun while she learns.  It helps to have a couple of friends with kids in Mia's class because we can encourage each other and get excited for our kids as they grow and just enjoy their childhood.
