First Halloween

Mia's first Halloween was pretty quiet. Because we did the Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, we didn't go anywhere last night on Halloween. Grammy and Pa Pa are here for the weekend, so we did a little shopping instead. We also tried out the new Greek restaurant in Bishop Arts. It's one of my favorites! We're having a great time!

Mia had her first kiwi yesterday. I was afraid that it would be too tart at first, but I had no reason to worry. I couldn't shovel it into her mouth fast enough for her. She loved it! Tonight, I made the parsnips. I peeled them, cut them in half lengthwise, and placed them on aluminum foil with a drizzle of olive oil. They smelled good coming out of the oven. Grammy and Daddy decided that the parsnips taste like a carrot with ginger on it. I think that's a pretty accurate description. Surprisingly, I liked it. I hope that Mia does too. After parsnips, Mia will get to try eggplant.
