Blueberries and the DSO

We had some fun in June such as attending the DSO's annual Symphony in the Park and going to a blueberry farm.  It was Quinn's first time to see the DSO (Dallas Symphony Orchestra).  They were at a park close to our house, so we took some camping chairs and walked over there.  The kids both did great and just sat, ate snacks, and listened to the music.  Quinn liked to clap along with everyone else after each song.

The blueberry farm is in Edom, Texas.  We thought it would be fun to take the kids to a farm where we could pick our own fruit.  It was a pretty good drive from Dallas, and I didn't expect there to be many people.  I was way off.  The place was PACKED.  There were tons of people.  It was also super hot.  We were all dripping by the time we were finished.  It would have been nice if it was a little cooler, but I still think it was a fun experience.  Family outings don't always go as planned, but at least we're together.  After we paid for our blueberries, Mia cooled off with a yummy blueberry lemonade (as did we all) and the biggest corndog I've ever seen!  Mia and Quinn ate a lot of blueberries for awhile.  I had to freeze a gallon size bag of them.  We picked more than I realized.
