Turbo Speed

Time is flying by.  Where does it go?  Sometimes I want to beg the clock to slow down a bit on the weekends.  I love our family time, but I blink and it's Monday morning again.  I try to cherish the time I get with my husband and kids and be grateful because I'm very blessed.
Quinn is crawling so fast now and gets into EV-RY-THING.  Haha!  Why do babies like to go straight for everything they aren't allowed to have?  We've had to get out the playpen so that he'll stay still to drink a bottle.  Quinn has modified his army crawl to a regular crawl.  One difference is that he kind of half drags one of his legs under him.  Sometimes he gets it right, though, so I know that his legs are fine.  He also pulls up easily.  He's very good at it, so we had to lower his crib mattress.
This picture is out of order since I need to update Q's weekly pics, but here is Quinn at 45 weeks old.
I've written on here some about mine and Quinn's breastfeeding journey.  I'm so proud of both of us.  We've soldiered on through illness (his and mine both), teething (and biting-ouch!), and pumping (for me at work).  We did great, but since my supply seemed to be decreasing, I slowly started weaning.  We made it 10 months which is so amazing!  I know that going to one year is ideal, but I'm thrilled with our experience.  I'll admit that I miss it, but Quinn is doing great on formula.  He's such an agreeable baby.

Mother's Day '13

I realize that this post is way overdue.  I keep sitting down to catch up on the blog, but these two kiddos keep me going constantly.  I'll just post when I get the chance.  We took Mia and Quinn to Heavener for Mother's Day weekend.  My family had a get together on the Runestone that Saturday.  We ate hamburgers, visited, and had a great time.  The weather was beautiful, and it was great to just lounge in a lawn chair and enjoy the afternoon.  I had my camera in everybody's face.  Haha!  I got some great closeups.  Mia got to visit the actual Runestone for the first time.  It's a big rock with Viking carvings on it.  Mia wasn't very impressed with the historical significance of it, but she enjoyed our little hike with cousins.

On Sunday, we spent time at my dad's house and then went to see Aunt Denise and Uncle Larry.  Our weekends in our hometown are always super busy, but it's wonderful that there are so many people we love to see!

I got to spend some time with my new niece, Annabelle Reese.  She was born March 25th (6lbs. 9oz., 20 inches long).  She is sooo tiny.  Zoey is loving her baby sister.
